Brandon R. Scarborough
Brandon R. Scarborough is the founder and executive director of Dreams Academy, a private K–2 school dedicated to empowering young Black boys through academic excellence, character development, and cultural pride. Guided by the belief that it is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men, he has created a nurturing environment where every child is seen, valued, and challenged to reach their full potential.
Monique Swain - Principal
Monique Swain, Principal of Dreams Academy, is a dedicated educator and leader committed to fostering a culture of excellence, equity, and care for every student. With a passion for early childhood education and a deep understanding of culturally responsive teaching, she works tirelessly to ensure each young learner receives the personalized attention, academic foundation, and character-building experiences they need to thrive both in school and in life.
Kolaiah Tucker - Kindergarten
Kolaiah Tucker, Kindergarten teacher at Dreams Academy, brings warmth, creativity, and a deep commitment to nurturing the youngest learners. With a focus on building strong academic foundations while fostering social-emotional growth, she creates a safe, engaging, and inspiring classroom where curiosity is encouraged, individuality is celebrated, and every child feels valued
Ashton Vaughn, Art/Music Teacher
Ashton Vaughn brings creativity and passion to Dreams Academy as our Art and Music Teacher. Through hands-on projects, performance, and exploration, he helps students express themselves, build confidence, and discover the joy of the arts. His classes inspire imagination while reinforcing discipline and teamwork, giving every child the chance to shine both in the classroom and on the stage.
Zayir Keen, Gym Teacher
Zayir Keen leads physical education at Dreams Academy, encouraging students to stay active, healthy, and confident. Through fun activities and structured lessons, he teaches teamwork, discipline, and the value of physical fitness. His energy and guidance help our young scholars build strong bodies and positive habits that will last a lifetime.

S. Swain, Teacher Assistant at Dreams Academy, plays a vital role in supporting both students and teachers in the classroom. With a caring approach and a dedication to helping each child succeed, they provide one-on-one assistance, encourage positive habits, and help create an environment where every student feels supported and ready to learn.
Ms. Gatesthrea Blue, School Secretary
Ms. Gatesthrea Blue is the welcoming face of Dreams Academy, serving as our School Secretary. She keeps the office organized, supports families with information and resources, and ensures daily operations run smoothly. With her warmth and professionalism, she helps create a friendly and supportive environment for students, parents, and staff alike.
