Dreams Academy has been selected as one of only 23 national finalists for the $1 Million Yass Prize, a prestigious award celebrating excellence and innovation in education.

The Yass Prize honors education providers that embody the four S.T.O.P. principlesSustainable, Transformational, Outstanding, and Permissionless. Each year, it recognizes schools and organizations that are boldly reimagining learning for the 21st century through creative ideas, cutting-edge approaches, and meaningful community impact.

As a finalist, Dreams Academy will compete in Miami on November 6, standing among a select group of institutions nationwide that are transforming education for the better.

At Dreams Academy, we are proud to nurture young Black boys through a culturally responsive curriculum that focuses on literacy, leadership, and emotional well-being. This recognition underscores our unwavering mission to create safe, empowering spaces where students can dream, learn, and lead.

Stay tuned as we represent Akron — and the future of education — on a national stage.
