Dreams Academy has been selected as one of only 23 national finalists for the $1 Million Yass Prize, a prestigious award celebrating excellence and innovation in education.
The Yass Prize honors education providers that embody the four S.T.O.P. principles — Sustainable, Transformational, Outstanding, and Permissionless. Each year, it recognizes schools and organizations that are boldly reimagining learning for the 21st century through creative ideas, cutting-edge approaches, and meaningful community impact.
As a finalist, Dreams Academy will compete in Miami on November 6, standing among a select group of institutions nationwide that are transforming education for the better.
At Dreams Academy, we are proud to nurture young Black boys through a culturally responsive curriculum that focuses on literacy, leadership, and emotional well-being. This recognition underscores our unwavering mission to create safe, empowering spaces where students can dream, learn, and lead.
Stay tuned as we represent Akron — and the future of education — on a national stage.
