Our mission is to positively affect young, African American youth by exposing them to men and women from a variety of creative and professional experiences to enhance, mentor, and propel African American girls into adulthood.

Queens Academy serves African American young ladies ages 12-16. Led by a team of adult professional women, Queens Academy engages young ladies through activities and dialogue, exposes them to female leadership from across the community and beyond, and enhances their confidence, mental wellness, and self-esteem using methods such as journaling and yoga. They also discuss and actively experience topics such as etiquette, financial capability, hygiene, and more!

Queens Academy meets on Wednesdays during the Spring, Summer, and Fall at 6:30 pm at the City of Joy Life Enrichment Center unless otherwise noted. The cost for Queens Academy is $100.00. This covers their “swag bag,” hygiene kit, journal, materials, and weekly dinner and snacks. Register now, as our classes fill up quickly. Can’t wait to meet you!
